Coupa e-Procurement Express Surpasses 11K Downloads

Friday, 18 January, 2008

Wow, we’ve come a long way. From pretty humble beginnings back in July 2006, Coupa is now routinely studied in Supply Management courses at universities around the world. Full production stories are rolling in, and things are going great. We’ve always viewed Coupa e-Procurement Express as a nice complement to our convenient on demand service. We powered through 11K downloads earlier this month, a nice achievement considering the conventional “market leaders” dedicated to e-procurement are lucky to claim 400 customers at most. The reason? Coupa is all about popularizing e-Procurement and making it accessible to enterprises everywhere. The conventional guys are still “hunting whales” – focused on the Fortune 500 & ignoring the needs of the rest of the market. So thanks for your overwhelming response to the project – and keep the stories coming in. We’ll be rolling out a framework for capturing what you’ve done as “case studies” in the coming months. Stay tuned!

Coupa.org Facelift

Friday, 18 January, 2008

I’m pleased to report we’ve enhanced the look and feel of coupa.org to match the professional style of coupa.com. We’ve got a little work to do reconciling two different online forums for your feedback and requests, but the site and the community continue to grow nicely. Thanks for all you are doing to build on Coupa e-Procurement Express, the leading open source project for e-procurement!
